Alternative Construction & Environmental Solutions, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Dan Troutman and Mark Hartz. This partnership combined expertise in numerous areas of Environmental and Construction Consulting. ACES has grown to include a full and part time staff of twenty-two professionals. In 2015, Cliff Hampton joined the partnership bringing several years of experience from military and major corporation EHS.
Our firm consists of different specialties. ACES regularly provides a wide range of environmental and safety consulting services. We manage all environmental issues, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Asbestos, Lead, PCB’s, Soil and Groundwater Contamination, Air Quality, Mold, Underground Storage Tank Removal, Installation, Erosion Control and many more. Bulk Sampling, Design, Supervision, Air Monitoring, Final Clearance Sampling and Post Remedial Verification are all part of ACES.
Our staff includes instructors for most areas of Environmental Certifications, and OSHA Compliance Training with a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). ACES consults for all types of building projects as well as renovations and handles all environmental issues as they arise on the project. ACES has the equipment and capability for Geo-Technical Borings and Monitoring Well Installations. Wood Door Designs, a division of ACES provides design and drafting services for several of our projects and we have a licensed Architect on staff.
ACES principals regularly lecture at Greenville Technical College and The Environmental Institute. Our President was a founder of the GA EPD Lead and Asbestos Governor’s STAR program and our Vice-President is current President of the Georgia Safety, Health and Environmental Conference and is on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Safety Committee. ACES regularly consults with GA EPD and Region IV EPA regarding new regulations and enforcements on the state and federal level. ACES’ staff currently hold numerous certifications in states throughout the southeast.
